こうした寂しい雰囲気の原因の一つは、空きテナントの多さ。建物のそこらじゅうに何もない区画がたくさんある。中には、まだテナントが埋まっていなくて立ち入りができない場所も。
2025年1月現在で募集中の区画は8区画。特にSAKURA サイドの2階すべてと、3階のほとんどがまだ空いている状態である。
端的にいって、「遊ぶ」「働く」「暮らす」がごっちゃになっていて建物全体のターゲットがあやふやな気がするのだ。それがある種の「失敗感」を生み出しているのではないか。
背景には、おそらく東急グループが思った以上に、「日本人が、貧しくなっている」ことがあるのではないか。
